Host an event
Write a letter
Host a Lily Toiletries Party or a Lily Baby Shower. If you are interested in hosting an event contact our Events Manager, Jane.
Write a letter of encouragement to accompany the toiletry gifts.
Invite us to come and talk to your Church, Colleagues,Charity, Community Group group, friends to help raise awareness of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery.
Donation Stations can be set up in your place of work, your local community, health club and even church. We can supply you with a pocket sized hand out card to remind people what items are needed in terms of toiletries for the gift bags and items for the new mums and their babies. Second hand baby clothes can also be collected at donation stations.
To undertake this role you will need to agree to having a DBS check as you will be in direct contact with the survivors. You will receive reimbursement for your mileage costs at the current rate agreed by HMRC. You will receive a detailed Driver’s Manual which will assist you in preparation for this role.
If you are able to help us raise finance to support our work we will put you in touch with our Fund Raising Team.
Sourcing Larger Items
We need help sourcing good quality second hand items such as push chairs, moses baskets and cots. This could include searching freecycle, ebay and charity shops, if you are interested in helping with this, we are more than happy to put you in touch with our Resources Manager, Liz.
Items are delivered to our volunteer hub where they are checked, sorted and stored
ready for delivery to the vulnerable families. Why not join our team of volunteers at our hub? Donate your time when you can, it doesn’t have to be a big, regular commitment.
All our donated second hand items are checked for quality. Our ethos is "If I wouldn't use it myself then I don't want to give it to the people who we are supporting." Any items with the word "Daddy" will be passed to a local baby bank.
If you are particularly interested in a more admin-type role, we would love to hear from you. Our support for survivors is growing throughout England and Wales.
If you have a specific skill which you think would support the work of The Lily Trust, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
Please contact us if you are interested in coordinating a team of volunteers in your local area.
